A NOTTINGHAM casino doorman bravely kept a knife-wielding teenager at bay for 20 minutes while the blade was waved around in front of him.

Nottingham Crown Court was told how Ismail Hamza calmly kept talking to Nadir Mokadeh despite the obvious risk to his safety the 19-year-old posed.
At one stage he managed to get the warehouse worker's mobile phone off him and told him he would hand it back if he dropped the weapon. Police then arrived and were able to arrest the defendant, who went on to answer “no comment” to the questions he was asked.
