Police appeal after masked knifeman threatens worker

A MASKED knife-wielding man stole four bottles of vodka from a store in Barnstaple before fleeing the scene.

A female worker in a Spar shop at the junction of Bear Street and Boutport Street was threatened by a man around 9.50pm on Saturday, May 10.
The man walked from the direction of Barnstaple Central Car Park via Queen's Walk and into Bear Street. After the burglary he then ran back along Bear Street towards Alexandria Road towards Barnstaple Town Centre Car Park.
The man is described as being a white male, ages around 18 to 25, roughly 5ft 6ins tall and of slim build. He was wearing a black zip-up hooded jumper, dark coloured trousers and black shoes.
