South Korean gaming giant Krafton—the name behind popular title Battlegrounds Mobile India—is actively looking to invest and buy Indian entities, among its top five markets, where a rapid smartphone adoption, mobile-first gaming culture and a tech-savvy, young population are driving steady growth prospects in online gaming.

Krafton India CEO, Sean Hyunil Sohn sees Indian gaming industry becoming more sizable and impactful, asserting the company would not be tied down to fixed investment limit for this "promising" market. It has so far invested $200 million in the country.
