Higher prices of basic metals, textiles, and other manufactured food & non-food items, lifted WPI based inflation
India's wholesale price index (WPI) based inflation rose to 2.13% in February, driven largely by higher prices of basic metals, manufactured food and nonfood items, as well as textiles, data from the commerce ministry showed Monday. Wholesale inflation was at 2.45% in February 2025.
