Selling co-owned property in India: What NRIs need to know

I moved to New Zealand a few years ago and became a citizen. Before marriage, I purchased a property in Varanasi with my father as a co-owner.

I funded the entire purchase, and the property was registered in both our names. Now that I live in New Zealand and my father is advancing in age, I would like to understand the legal implications of selling the property. If I choose to sell it now, or if something were to happen to my father in the future, would I have full rights to the property, or would my father's share be distributed among my siblings? As the sole contributor to the purchase, will I be able to claim full ownership, or will my father's portion be considered ancestral property? For context, I am a Hindu under Indian law.
