Jio, Airtel add nearly 4.8 million subscribers in Sep: Trai

Reliance Jio added 3.47 million mobile subscribers in September, cementing its lead in the competitive telecom market, while Airtel's wireless subscriber tally rose by 1.32 million, according to monthly data put out by Trai.

Vodafone Idea lost 750,000 mobile subscribers during September, dragging its wireless user tally to 227.5 million.
Reliance Jio gained 3.48 million wireless subscribers in September, and its user base climbed to 449.2 million, as per data by Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (Trai).
Rival Bharti Airtel spruced up its mobile subscriber tally to 377.7 million in September, having added 1.32 million users during the month.
