An increased focus on premium products and higher investment in expanding production capacity helped packaged foods maker iD Fresh maintain profitability in the fiscal year ended March, a top executive told Mint.
The firm logged a net profit of ₹4.5 crore in FY24, its first profitable year since inception in 2005. "Last year was one of our best years so far. We did close to double-digit Ebitda [earnings before interest, taxes, and depreciation]," P.C. Musthafa, chairman and global chief executive of iD Fresh, said in an interview.
"We brought in several new levers, including expanding international business, which helped us deliver the best performance in the history of iD," Musthafa said. He did not reveal exact financial figures as the company is yet to file its FY25 statements with the Registrar of Companies.
