Brian West is being replaced by Jesus "Jay" Malave, who stepped down in April as CFO of Lockheed Martin
Boeing's top finance executive is stepping down after a tumultuous four years for the jet maker, the latest high-profile leader to leave since Chief Executive Kelly Ortberg took over last year.
Finance chief Brian West is being replaced by aerospace veteran Jesus "Jay" Malave, who stepped down in April as chief financial officer of defense company Lockheed Martin. The change is effective Aug. 15.
West helped lead Boeing through post-Covid tumult, a damaging machinists strike and fallout from last year's near-catastrophic fuselage-panel blowout on an Alaska Airlines flight.
In April, the Arlington, Va., company posted its strongest quarterly results since before the Alaska Air incident.
