L&T hires former Aavishkaar partner to head corp VC arm

L&T Innovation Fund, the corporate venture capital arm of Larsen & Toubro Ltd, an Indian multinational engaged in engineering, procurement, and construction projects, hi-tech manufacturing and services, has hired a former partner of Aavishkaar Capital to lead its investments, VCCircle has learned.
The Mumbai-based firm, which backs emerging startups across deeptech, climate tech, Industry 4.0, and digital infrastructure, has appointed Sushma Kaushik as the head of the innovation fund.
She succeeds Rajkamal Agarwal, who led the fund for three years, starting April 2022.
In her new role, Kaushik will oversee L&T's existing startup portfolio and work with the broader startup ecosystem to identify opportunities for collaboration as well as strategic investments.
