The United States has made clear it will not intervene militarily in the escalating conflict between India and Pakistan, calling the situation a matter that does not fall within Washington's remit.

Vice President J D Vance, speaking to Fox News on Thursday, said that while the US is concerned about rising hostilities between two nuclear-armed nations, it does not intend to take sides or insert itself into the dispute. "We're not going to get involved in the middle of a war that's fundamentally none of our business," Vance stated. Referring to recent comments by President Donald Trump and Secretary of State Marco Rubio, Vance reiterated the administration's stance urging both nations to pursue calm through dialogue.
