Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday described the upcoming GST reforms as a "double boost" for India's growth, saying the government's next-generation economic measures will continue. Speaking to National Teachers Awards recipients, Modi highlighted that simplified GST rates of 5 per cent and 18 per cent will take effect from September 22, coinciding with the start of Navratri.
