The Ministry of External Affairs expressed serious concerns on Friday regarding potential foreign interference in India's domestic matters. The statement came after the Trump administration's decision to revoke $21 million in USAID funding, which they alleged was being used to influence voter participation in India. The ministry characterized such foreign involvement in India's internal affairs as "deeply troubling."
Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) spokesperson Randhir Jaiswal said relevant departments and authorities are looking into the information put out by the United States administration regarding certain US activities and funding.
