Villar pushes Magna Carta of Commuters to address public transportation struggles

Senator Mark Villar is pushing for major reforms in the country's transport sector through the filing of the Magna Carta of Commuters, a proposed law designed to protect the rights and welfare of Filipino commuters.

Citing the daily struggles of millions who rely on public transportation, Villar said the bill aims to fix longstanding issues in the mass transit system—especially in Metro Manila and other urban centers—such as overcrowding, long lines, dangerous sidewalks, and lack of accessible infrastructure.
