SSS net income surges to ₱143 B

Reserves breach ₱1-trillion mark
Social Security System (SSS), the state-run pension fund for private sector workers, booked a sharp surge in net income to P143 billion in 2025, fueled by improved collection efficiency and prudent fund management.
This boosted total assets and pushed its reserve fund past the P1-trillion mark for the first time.
In a statement on Monday, Feb. 16, SSS said net earnings last year significantly increased by 58.4 percent from P90.3 billion in 2024.
Total assets likewise expanded by 22.1 percent to P1.26 trillion from P1.03 trillion a year earlier.
Notably, the SSS reserve fund also topped the P1-trillion mark in 2025—the first time in the state insurer's history.
