"HINDI ITO ASAL NG ISANG TUNAY NA KAPATID (This is not the conduct of a true sibling)," Rep. Marcos said in a Facebook post Tuesday, Nov. 18.
Sen. Marcos' claims of drug abuse against the First Family extended to the President's wife, First Lady Liza Araneta-Marcos, and Rep. Marcos himself.
"I have always acknowledged and respected the role my Tita, Sen. Imee Marcos, played in the early part of my public life. That respect remains which is why this will be the first and last time I will be speaking on this," Rep. Marcos said.
"It pains me to see how low she has gone to the point that she resorts to a web of lies aimed at destabilizing this government to advance her own political ambitions. To further repeat an accusation against President Bongbong Marcos and the First Lady (and for the first time ever myself) that is not only false, but dangerously irresponsible," he said.
"Salahat pong binanggit ni Senadora, walang basehan, walang katotohanan, at walang magandang idudulot sa bayan (In everything the Senator mentioned, there is no basis, no truth, and nothing good it will bring to the nation)," Rep. Marcos categorically said.
