The Embassy of Malaysia led the flag-off ceremony at the ASEAN Unity Drive 2025 (AUD2025) in the Philippines on April 30.

The AUD2025, a symbolic cross-border electric vehicle (EV) journey covering nine ASEAN member states, is an initiative by the government of Malaysia, in conjunction with Malaysia’s chairmanship of the ASEAN this year.
In line with Malaysia’s chairmanship theme “Inclusivity and Sustainability,” this initiative highlights the region’s collective commitment to sustainable mobility and enhanced regional connectivity. AUD2025, organised by the Malaysia Automotive, Robotics and IoT Institute (MARii), an agency under the Ministry of Investment, Trade and Industry (MITI), with strong support from PROTON, promotes the adoption of EVs and stimulate investment and growth in related industries, creating new economic opportunities for Malaysia and its ASEAN partners.
