Vokes ensures Latics pay for lack of finishing touch

MICKY Mellon was left bemoaning Oldham’s inability to finish chances after his side's 1-0 defeat against League Two leaders Gillingham at Boundary Park.

After a fiesty first half, Latics created a host of chances in what was a dominant second half display.

Kane Drummond headed against the crossbar for Latics while Joe Quigley failed to make the most of three good openings and both Oli Hutton and Josh Hawkes fired off target from promising positions.
