PENSIONER, 82, TIED UP AND SLASHED BY ROBBER

AN ELDERLY man was tied up by his hands and feet, slashed and attacked before then being shut into a cupboard during a terrifying home robbery.

The 82-year-old resident found a man hiding underneath his dining table at his home before the offender then struck him over the head with his walking stick.
The terror unfolded at the home on Mellaieu Street, Oldham, at around 7.20pm on Saturday.
The intruder then stole the victim's wallet and demanded the PIN for his bank card.
