Murderer who put woman's body in shed jailed for life

A KILLER who murdered a woman and then dragged her body into his shed must serve at least 20 years behind bars.

Christopher Barlow, 62, murdered Mariann Borocz in his home in Bolton. Her body was discovered by police in the shed nine days later. After killing Mariann, he cut or ripped her clothes off and disposed of her belongings.

Ms Borocz, 55, originally from Hungary, was discovered after police launched a huge missing persons search. She was described as a 'vulnerable' woman who spoke little English.

After being found guilty of murdering her, Barlow was yesterday sentenced to life in prison, to serve a minimum of 20 years. A pathologist found no obvious signs of injury, other than a red mark on her neck.

Ms Borocz, a mother-of-two, likely died after being suffocated, Manchester Crown Court heard.
