'Complexity' of burst water main repairs affects neighbouring streets

ENGINEERS are 'making good progress' repairing a burst water main after an area was hit by further leaks.

Parts of Flixton Road in Urmston were left under water on Monday after being hit by a 1.30pm deluge.
Videos circulated on social media showed a torrent of water pouring out of the ground on Flixton Road, which then flowed up surrounding residential roads.
