FIREFIGHTERS were called to an apartment building after a blaze broke out on the balcony of a flat.

Crews attended the Budenberg residential development on Woodfield Road in Altrincham on Sunday morning.
Firefighters arrived at 9.30am and spent about three hours at the scene.
The blaze was extinguished and searches were carried out to ensure that all residents were safe.
