SANCO calls for immediate removal of NWPTB CFO

|July 04, 2025
The South African National Civics Organisation (SANCO) has called for the immediate suspension and removal of the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) of the North West Provincial Tourism Board (NWPTB) following recent revelations about their alleged involvement in corruption charges.
-
According to a statement by the National Education, Health and Allied Workers Union (NEHAWU), the CFO was out on bail for corruption charges related to their tenure at the Madibeng Local Municipality. SANCO believes that this appointment raised serious concerns about the suitability of the candidate for the position.
This is not the first time that economic development entities in the province have found themselves embroiled in controversy over appointments.
