Restrictions set to curb summer transfers

That could be predicting that Premier League or European clubs will be in a hurry to spend, or calculating how long financial losses from the pandemic would reduce the numbers of transfers.

Having the right idea about the whole market is the best way of setting your own expectations so that even if you can't do everything that you would like to do, it is for reasons beyond your control.

Last summer saw the transfer record for Premier League clubs smashed by £440million, up from £1.92billion to £2.36bn as plenty took the opportunity to invest in their squads.

In a world where the demand is for everything to continue getting bigger and better, the expectation would be that this will continue.
