Adam Dixon, 27, followed the couple back to the man’s house in Oldham after they had been on a shopping trip.

After the victim went outside to speak to him, Dixon drove over the man, who tried to move out of the way. He then reversed and drove over him again before parking up.

Tarek Youssef, in his 40s, was left with numerous injuries including 19 broken ribs, Minshull Street Crown Court heard.

Dixon pleaded _ guilty to attempted murder and assault and was jailed for 13 years and four months on Friday.

Prosecuting, Hugh Barton said Dixon’s parents had _ divorced, which neither of their twin sons took well.
