Christmas brings a timely delivery to families in need

SIX thousand essential household items have been distributed to Llanelli people in need ahead of Christmas.

The gesture of support by Labour town councillor Shaun Greaney and Swansea-based Cwtch Mawr Multibank comes as hundreds of families continue to struggle with the ongoing cost-of-living crisis, made worse by what for many is the festive season.

The situation is described by Cllr Greaney, who represents Lliedi ward, as “a Christmas nightmare” for those on a low budget.

Cllr Greaney said: “Too many families in our town are facing hardship this Christmas.

“The wonderful Cwtch Mawr Multibank in Swansea very kindly approached me to help support such families.”
