Van carrying prisoners involved in collision

A PRISON transportation vehicle was involved in a crash on its way to Liverpool's court building.

The incident yesterday morning involved a GEOAmey van due to ferry prisoners from HMP Altcourse to Liverpool's QEII Law Courts.
The incident resulted in a number of remand prisoners not appearing at court for proceedings. Contacts at the court told the ECHO that by midday prisoners had still not arrived.
