Tomasson pays the price after Swedes sunk by Kosovo

JON Dahl Tomasson has been sacked as coach of the Sweden men's team.

The decision comes a day after Sweden were beaten 1-0 at home by Kosovo to all but end their hopes of qualifying for next summer's World Cup.
Former Blackburn boss Tomasson (below) had been in charge since February 2024, when he became the first non-Swede to take the role, but the Dane has paid the price for three defeats and one draw from their four qualifiers.
