A MAGICIAN who 'disappeared' after charging a community hub £400 for a show which he didn’t turn up for has apologised.

Magician Dean Spruce who runs Divine Magic reached out to Crossens Community Centre in Southport in April to offer the volunteer-ran community centre entertainment for the Summer Fair they were hosting in June.

He messaged the community centre, which is run by Crossens Community Association, offering “wonderful entertainment” including a magic show, bubble show, workshops and “amazement” for all the family at a price of £400. The price also included 'walkround magic' and balloons.

Fiona Townsend, 54, vice chair of the community association, told the ECHO how they thought the deal was “amazing” and asked to book Spruce.
