AN “iconic” fish and chip shop has opened its doors again.

A staple in Southport for the past decade, Harper's served locals and visitors for years until its closure in 2020.

Back then, it was briefly renamed Xander’s Fish Bar. During its short stint, Xander’s was recognised for its excellence when it was shortlisted in the Restaurant Of The Year category in the 2023 Your Southport Stars Awards.

Now the beloved family-run takeaway has returned, much to the delight of the seaside town.
