Ancelotti vows to visit stadium

CARLO Ancelotti has vowed to return to Everton and support his former club in a game at their new Hill Dickinson Stadium home.

The Italian, who is the most successful manager in the history of European football having lifted the Champions League five times, spent 18 months in charge of the Blues, having replaced Marco Silva in December 2019.

The following season - played mostly behind closed doors because of the global coronavirus pandemic - Everton found themselves second in the table on Boxing Day.

But in a campaign in which they won away at Liverpool and Arsenal yet lost nine home games, they slumped to finish 10th.
