Man led officers on 'incredibly dangerous' car chase

A LEICESTERSHIRE man drove the wrong way down dual carriageways during a dangerous pursuit through a busy town centre.

Tyler O'Keeffe took “massive” risks during the chase, police said.

Officers from Wiltshire Police spotted O'Keeffe's vehicle on County Road, Swindon, at around 1.20pm on Thursday, June 12. The black Volkswagen Tiguan was flagged as untaxed, had dark window tints and a parking ticket on the windscreen.

The 20-year-old driver, of Azalea Drive, Burbage, was requested to stop and initially pulled over. He then accelerated away, performing a U-turn requiring officers to take evasive action.
