PLANS for nearly 300 homes have emerged on a plot of land where previous proposals sparked hundreds of objections.

- By TESS RUSHIN

Gladman Developments Ltd is hoping to build the 295 properties on land off Peatling Road, Countesthorpe.

Plans submitted to Blaby District Council are for a mix of one to five-bedroom homes on the site, which is just over eight-and-a-half hectares.

Homes would be either two or 2.5 storeys in a wide mix of styles.

Plans note the site was previously considered as two separate phased developments, one for 150 homes and one for 100 homes.

Both of these proposals were refused in April 2018.
