FINAL PROPOSALS FOR BELGRAVE ANNOUNCED

FINAL plans for a residents’ parking scheme for seven streets close to Leicester's Golden Mile have been published.

Leicester City Council has proposed a permit-only parking scheme in the Belgrave Road area to help address residents’ concerns about commuter and business vehicles using residential streets for free parking, making it difficult for people to park near their homes.

It has now begun the formal legal process to implement the traffic regulation order (TRO) needed to change parking restrictions and introduce the new residents’ parking scheme.

The proposed scheme will include mainly terraced streets off the busy Belgrave Road, affecting around 560 homes and businesses.
