Parkinson's sufferer to take bungalow plans to appeal

Proposals have been turned down three times

A PARKINSON's-hit dad who has failed three times to secure permission to build an adapted bungalow has taken his fight to the planning inspector. Mark Bullock has so far failed to convince councillors of his need to build a bungalow on his land off Park Lane.

He had hoped to be able to build the bungalow in Cheadle after failing for the past year to find suitable accommodation that would meet his needs into the future. However his hopes have been repeatedly dashed with planning officers ruling that personal circumstances rarely outweigh planning policies.

The last time the application was before the planning committee at Staffordshire Moorlands District Council, it was argued that recent changes in the national planning policy framework (NPPF) would allow the site to be built on. This was due to the introduction of grey-belt which would allow the green belt land to be used for construction.
