Familiarity gives Brehaut big boost ahead of new campaign

KNOWING his team as he prepares for the new season is a real plus point for Leek Town boss Josh Brehaut.

Having kept the majority of last season's side that finished the season so strongly - while making only two additions so far - Brehaut understands exactly what he's getting in terms of performance.

Last summer, with a much-changed squad, it was a case of bedding players in. Not so this time around.

“We know this time around we will only bring in an extra one or two - two would be a maximum,” he said.

“We don’t need to rush. We know exactly what we want in terms of profile and characteristics.

“Barring any injuries, we are in a good spot knowing the strength of the team for sure.”
