RED & WHITES CELEBRATE CLUB'S HIGHEST-EVER LEAGUE FINISH
DORKING director of rugby Armand Roux was proud to see his side deliver the club's highest-ever finish in the rugby pyramid.
The Big Field side secured second place in National Two East on Saturday with a 41-19 home win over champions Tonbridge Juddians.
And having guided the club from the regional leagues to the National leagues and competing at the top end of the table too is something that Roux is proud of.
But he knows what his Dorking side have to do if they are not to witness another team lift the championship trophy on their pitch again like they did on Saturday.
"The last few years the teams that have got promoted have beat us convincingly in the second half, ie Blackheath and Esher, so we always had a bit to prove today to show that we can compete with the teams up there, to do it in the fashion that we did, with 14 men, and 13 men for 60 minutes of that game was absolutely outstanding.
