City's young people devise a range of activities for all as part of the city's Encounter arts festival, with sports, crafts and lots more attracting a bumper turn-out, despite the poor weather
Young people from across Preston got the chance to try a range arts-based activities this week as part of the city's Encounter Festival.
Despite heavy rain throughout the day, the Rise and Lead events on Birley Street drew in the crowds, particularly for a tug of war competition which featured competitions for both children and adults.
Events under the gazebos include football darts, a mask making competition and a group mural painting which created an art work focused on knife crime, facilitated by Preston-based artist Mr Doodleey, aka Prem Sanker and his wife Amritha Satheesh.
