Existing plans for the Harris dating back to 2016, which had involved putting glass-fronted doors onto the Flag market, had been deemed too brash and bold and also faced being eye-watering in terms of cost.

Built in the late 1880s the Harris is grade-I listed and has strict rules over what can and can't be done both internally and externally to the building.

Director of Buttress Neal Charlton said: "When something is grade I-listed it doesn't mean we can't change things - and you'll see we have made some rather large changes within the Harris.
