It was a busy day for Wesham last Saturday with their annual 10k race from Salwick in Lea Town in the morning and their annual dinner dance and presentations in the evening.

The 10k race was again a sellout with 291 runners.

There was a good pack of three runners at the front with Benjamin Tucker of Belgrave Harriers posting a decent 33:21 to win and Thomas Griffiths of St Helens second in 33:35.

Wesham's Adam Wilding was third in 33:53 having just lost contact with the leading pair.

Tom Crabtree had a great run to come in fifth in 36:23. Dan Hounslea finished seventh in 36:47, clinching the men's team trophy.
