Morecambe's players must stop the mistakes

Morecambe manager Ashvir Singh Johal insists his players are close to getting on a run of form that will see them climb the National League table, writes DEREK QUINN.

- by Sports Reporter

A 4-2 defeat at York City on Saturday kept the Shrimps second-bottom on goal difference, three points from safety.

Morecambe had led twice against their inform hosts with Miguel Azeez and Ben Tollitt scoring in each half at the LNER Community Stadium.

However, Malachi Fagan-Walcott and Ollie Banks twice levelled for York before Alex Hunt and Ryan Fallowfield sentenced the Shrimps to an 11th defeat in 18 league games.

Nevertheless, Johal maintains he saw enough in his players' performance last weekend to suggest that a positive run of results is not far away.,
