Although PNE had enjoyed an extra 24 hours’ rest heading into this game and bottom-placed Wednesday were without Max Lowe and Dominic Iorfa, it was the Owls celebrating after just three minutes.

Harry Amass flew down the left and pulled the ball back to Charlie McNeill, who took one touch before finishing.

PNE responded well and forced Ethan Horvath into two saves, the second of which brought the corner from which they levelled.
