Smith and Walton are seventh and eighth arrivals
Preston North End made a double swoop into the transfer market yesterday with the signings of forward Michael Smith and keeper Jack Walton.
Both players arrive at Deepdale on permanent deals, becoming the club's seventh and eighth signings of the summer.
Smith makes the move to North End shortly after seeing his three-year stay at Sheffield Wednesday conclude.
The 33-year-old had his contract cancelled by mutual consent amid financial issues at Hillsborough.
