Councillor's Facebook post on Gaza sparks police probe

A Lancashire county councillor was due to be questioned by police today about a post he shared on social media.
County Coun Michael Lavalette - the independent member for the authority's Preston Central division - said he would attend what was described to him as a voluntary police interview.
It is understood at least two complaints were made to police about a Facebook post in which he captioned a picture of a demonstration against the ongoing war in Gaza with the words: "There is only one solution Intifada, Revolution".
