James Anderson believes Lancashire will soon start to pick up four-day wins if they replicate this week's performance against Kent at Blackpool.

Anderson's confident the Red Rose will bloom despite Blackpool draw

The counties drew at Stanley Park in Division Two of the Rothesay County Championship.

Having replied to Kent's first innings of 374 with 639-9 declared, Lancashire looked on course for victory after reducing their visitors to 116-7 on Wednesday's final day.

However, Grant Stewart (130) and Joey Evison (77 not out) put on 182 for the eighth wicket as Kent finished on 328-8.

Speaking after his first game as Lancashire captain, Anderson said: "I think we played some great cricket throughout the week.

"We won the toss and bowled, not really knowing what it was going to do.

"It felt really slow from day one but I thought the way we stuck at our task in the first innings, I thought it was a decent effort.
