The Lieutenant Governor of Ladakh, Kavinder Gupta, highlighted the pivotal role of the police force in nation-building and described it as a pillar of strength for society during the solemn observance of Police Commemoration Day at the Parade Ground, District Police Lines, Choglamsar, Leh.
The Lieutenant Governor laid wreaths at the Police Memorial to pay tribute to the ten CRPF personnel who were martyred on October 21, 1959, at Hot Springs, Ladakh, during an encounter with the Chinese Army.
