PICKFORD: NEW STADIUM AND JACK SIGNING COULD LAUNCH EURO PUSH

- BY STEVE BATES

A STUNNING new ground and the arrival of Jack Grealish to lead a charge towards Europe has got Jordan Pickford dreaming of better times ahead as Everton begin a new chapter today.

England No.1 Pickford believes the first Premier League game at their swanky new £800million Hill Dickinson Stadium this afternoon against Brighton is a seminal moment for a club desperate to revive the glory days.

Big football moments in Liverpool are usually created by the red men of Anfield.

Today the spotlight is on Everton as they press the button on a fresh beginning that feels like the reset everyone in blue has been waiting for.

That's the way Pickford (above) feels too as he anticipates a new era where - from top to bottom and for the first time in many seasons - the whole club is focusing on the same goal: success on the pitch.
