John strikes at death for a precious point in fiery derby

JOHN MARTIN netted a 90th minute close-range equaliser for Shelbourne in a fiery Dublin derby at Tolka Park.

But, like the entire Shels contingent in the 5,474 attendance, he must have had his heart in his mouth as 90 seconds later Bohs’ Douglas James-Taylor broke through unmarked from halfway.

However, his attempt on goal was blocked out for a corner by Wessel Speel — an excellent piece of work from the keeper.

Shels made eight changes to the team that came from behind in European action in Croatia, goalkeeper Spel, defender Kameron Ledwidge and striker Ademipo Odubeko rolling over.
