Best of Dad is still living on

Happy Father's Day. I have such fond memories of my late father - I know not everyone is lucky to have had a great childhood but for me, both parents supported me in all I wanted to do.

There was great advice as well as the occasional eye roll but they gave me the foundations I built on to become who I am today.

I remember when I was 15, Dad asked me what I wanted to do when I left school (he had worked out I was never going to sixth form or uni).

When I said "some kind of finance thing", application forms were procured and before I was 16 I'd secured a job. He supported me through work challenges, divorces, property purchases and everything in between, but always left me feeling it was my decision.
