Diaspora man bags 'dream' home in draw

DESPITE the strange and testing times we are living through with transatlantic relations, the lure of Ireland to the US and our diaspora there seems to be only getting stronger.

American visitors to our shores have been among the biggest cohort of tourists again in the summer of 2025.

Those numbers were boosted by last week's college football classic and will surge again for an upcoming full NFL fixture at Croke Park between the Pittsburgh Steelers and Minnesota Vikings on September 28.

And more permanent visitors are also on the rise with the number of US citizens moving here doubling to almost 10,000 in the last year.
