LIFE on Mars would be 'horrible', according to Professor Brian Cox.

The telly physicist said humans could live on the Red Planet.

But it would be a grim existence 'confined to a building'.

Brian, 57, who hosted the BBC's Stargazing Live and The Science of Doctor Who, said Mars 'will never be a nice place' and Earth was 'perfect' for mankind.

He accepted there was a benefit to folk living on another planet because it would 'relieve the pressures on Earth'.
